Here is an artist that I don`t know anything about except what I can read on the cover and hear on the record. He is very Carter style influenced on guitar. I Can`t say much about this LP except that it`s a good `un!

Lake Howard recorded with Roland Cauley and another member of the Cauley family in the 1930s. Here is a link to those recordings:
ReplyDeleteHoward also recorded some 16 solo sides, and two duet sides with Bill Wakefield (1935).
A wonderful discovery for me--thanks Allen. Really pleasant voice and excellent instrumentals. So sad he died young. I would like the link fiddlenshim posted.
ReplyDeleteHmmm----the link just isn`t there. Maybe we can get hold of fiddlinshim and ask for it.
ReplyDeleteHere is the link to 1934 Cauley Family 78s with Lake Howard on guitar. Great stuff
