Hello neighbors!! On this page I`ll be posting county music (or music that influences country music) from my collection of 78`s LP`s and 45`s. Most of what I`ll have here will be from about 1900 up into the 1950`s or so. I`ll try to use stuff that is not currently available to buy. All artists I`ll be posting recorded before 1950, but some recordings may have been made later than 1950. I hope you all enjoy what I`ll be putting one here!!

Historical Ballads Of The Tennessee Valley

Here`s a neat LP, and I think quite rare. What we have here is an LP of songs of things Tennessee. Topical type songs. Some of these songs can be heard elsewhere, but I think some of the songs on this may be unique to this LP. The back of the cover mentions a booklet that would come with the LP, but unfortunatley, as usual with LP`s, it is missing. Happy downloading!

One of the songs on "Historical Ballads Of The Tennessee Valley" is titled "Kirby Cole". I just published an article on our mountain dulcimer club's website about the murder of Kirby Cole.
