Hello neighbors!! On this page I`ll be posting county music (or music that influences country music) from my collection of 78`s LP`s and 45`s. Most of what I`ll have here will be from about 1900 up into the 1950`s or so. I`ll try to use stuff that is not currently available to buy. All artists I`ll be posting recorded before 1950, but some recordings may have been made later than 1950. I hope you all enjoy what I`ll be putting one here!!

Louie Clark - The Whispering Hills
Here`s a really neat LP from the Rimrock label, which was owned by Wayne Raney. I have no real information about Mr. Clark, except to say that according to the LP jacket that he wrote the tunes on the LP, which is quite an accomplishment in my opinion. In my opinion, this is a must hear!

Hi, Louie Clark co-wrote a number of Wayne Raney's releases on King, including "Blues At My Door" and "I Had My Fingers Crossed (when I was makin' love to you)".
ReplyDeleteI`m not suprised to hear that he had ties with Wayne Raney, as Mr. Raney owned the Rimrock label.
