Hello neighbors!! On this page I`ll be posting county music (or music that influences country music) from my collection of 78`s LP`s and 45`s. Most of what I`ll have here will be from about 1900 up into the 1950`s or so. I`ll try to use stuff that is not currently available to buy. All artists I`ll be posting recorded before 1950, but some recordings may have been made later than 1950. I hope you all enjoy what I`ll be putting one here!!

Old Joe Clark with guest star Jimmie Skinner
Here`s a sort of unique record. This LP is in a live show type format. Old Joe Clark plays both old-time and bluegrass banjo on this and does comedy. The comedy is some pretty tired material though. I got this because I like Jimmie Skinner, but the cuts with him I think are just dubbed in, so for me, this record is a bit of a let down, but I wanted to post it anyhow, mostly for the banjo pickin. Happy downloading!
I've got a cassette tape of Old Joe Clark with his son Terry. He was a star of the Renfro Valley Barn Dance, the last of the old time barn dances still operating.

bless you always
DeleteThanks so much for this one, my friend. As those of us who play banjo understand: "Even bad banjo is good. And bad comedy is, too." All good wishes for 2013.
